A Guide To Looking After Your Sapling Tree

Once you have received your tree, it should be removed from the card, taken from its drawstring cotton pouch and the root wrapping removed.

Moisten the root ball well and re-pot it in a small container about 15cm diameter with good compost, ensuring the roots are at least 1.5 cm below the surface and the soil is well compacted.

The tree should be protected from frost initially, but if afterwards you decide to let your tree fully mature, it can be planted outside either in a large pot as a deck plant or in the ground to enable full maturity.
